 The Five Elements (Pancha Mahabhutas):

Ayurveda posits that everything in the universe, including the human body, is composed of five basic elements: earth (Prithvi), water (Jala), fire (Agni), air (Vayu), and space (Akasha).

The Three Doshas: 

 These five elements combine to form three fundamental energies or biological humors known as doshas: Vata (air and space), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (earth and water).

Prakriti (Constitution) and Vikriti (Imbalance): 

 Prakriti is an individual's unique constitution at birth, determined by the dominant doshas. Vikriti represents any imbalance in the doshas from this natural state.

 Agni is the metabolic fire responsible for digestion, absorption, and assimilation of nutrients. Proper functioning of Agni is essential for health.
